The Cambro CBA244284S5580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit's five tiers can support 1,800 pounds, and it's intended to be fastened to a Basics Plus starter shelving unit to increase storage space. Each shelf is solid, providing a sturdy, flat surface for operators to store linens and small, irregularly shaped product that otherwise fall through vented shelves' slots. The top shelf can support 400 pounds, while each lower shelf has a 600-pound capacity. To maintain clean surfaces, the shelves can be wiped clean, removed, and washed in a dishmachine.

For a uniform appearance, this Cambro CBA244284S5580 add-on shelving unit is brushed graphite gray, and its rust-, peel-, corrosion-, and scratch-resistant polypropylene construction helps maintain this color over time. The add-on unit can be attached to the starter unit with the included traverses, wedges, post connectors, and dovetails. Composite posts' leveling feet balance the unit if it's installed on irregular ground, preventing wobbling and rocking. To diversify the areas in which linked shelving units can be stored, the add-on unit can endure temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit, meaning it's compatible with storage in freezers, coolers, dishrooms, and pantries.
