This Cambro CBA184284VS5580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit can be attached to another Basics Plus unit in L-, U-, or T-shaped configurations to increase storage capacity in confined storage areas. Because the add-on is made of polypropylene, it resists rusting, corroding, scratches, and peeling and is safe to store in temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit. Leveling feet fitted to the two composite posts stabilize the unit on uneven floors, preventing wobbling. To streamline its installation, it includes preassembled post connectors and wedges, 10 traverses, and five bags of eight dovetails.

Four of the Cambro CBA184284VS5580 add-on unit's shelves are vented to encourage airflow around product, while one is solid to accommodate irregularly shaped product that could fall through the louvered shelves' gaps. The top shelf can hold 400 pounds and the lower shelves have 600-pound capacities; overall, this unit supports 1,800 pounds. To maintain a sanitary storage area, the shelves are treated with an antimicrobial protection agent that inhibits bacterial growth between cleanings. The shelves can be removed, cleaned in a dishmachine, and are simple to wipe clean.
