With its five-tier configuration, the Cambro CBA186084S5580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit has a 1,800-pound capacity. Its top shelf can support 400 pounds, while its four bottom shelves can hold 600 pounds each. Because all the shelf plates are solid, they accommodate irregularly shaped objects and can prevent pooled liquid from dripping onto other shelves and the floor. Camguard® antimicrobial protection slows bacterial growth that otherwise could create odors and stains. As the shelf plates become dirty, they can be removed and cleaned in a dishmachine.

Due to the Cambro CBA186084S5580 add-on shelving unit's durable polypropylene construction, it resists corroding, rusting, scratching, and peeling to maintain its original appearance through heavy use. This polymer also withstands temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit, so the unit can be attached to a Basics Plus shelving unit stored in a freezer, cooler, or dry pantry. Two composite posts support one end of the add-on unit; the posts are fitted with leveling feet for stability on uneven floors. To fit various storage spaces, it can be configured with stationary starter shelving units in T, L, or U shapes.
