For versatility and lasting use, the Cambro CBA246064VS4580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit has a polypropylene construction, which resists rusting, corroding, peeling, and scratching and is impervious to moisture, chemicals, salt, and food acids. This polymer withstands temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit and can be stored in walk-in coolers and freezers, humid dishrooms, and dry storage pantries. Protected by an antimicrobial agent, this material resists fungal, bacterial, and mold growth.

Designed to be attached to a similarly sized Basics Plus starter shelving unit, this add-on unit measures 60 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 64 inches high. Included traverses, dovetails, and preassembled post connectors and wedges facilitate linking the two units. To fit in storage areas of all layouts, it can be set up in L-, U-, or T-shaped configurations.

Though the three lower shelves each accommodate 600 pounds and the top shelf has a 400-pound capacity, the Cambro CBA246064VS4580 add-on shelving unit is built to support no more than 1,800 pounds. This four-tier unit features one solid and three vented polypropylene shelf plates to support a wider range of product than units with solid and vented shelves only. The solid shelves create a flat, strong surface to ensure small items don't slip through gaps, like they could with louvered shelves. The vented shelves are best suited to hold perishables and boxed and bagged goods since their slotted designs prompt airflow across their surfaces to reduce moisture and dust buildup.
