The shelf plates are made of durable polypropylene that resists moisture and chemical damage. Because the shelves are solid, they can be used to hold small items and product that could potentially leak. Each shelf accommodates 600 pounds while the top shelf has a capacity of 400 pounds. Overall, this unit can hold 1,800 pounds.

The Cambro CBA183684S4580 polymer solid add-on shelf kit withstands temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit, enabling use in warm dishrooms and cold walk-in freezers. It's designed to be attached to an existing starter shelving unit to provide additional storage space, and the shelves can be installed with two sturdy composite posts that have pre-assembled post connectors and wedges. For assembly, this kit comes with eight traverses and four bags of eight-count dovetails.
