A wide variety of containers can be stored on the Cambro CBU184884VS5580 Camshelving® Basics Plus starter shelving unit's one solid and four vented polypropylene shelf plates. With its flat, strong surface, the solid shelf is best suited to support linens and small items that otherwise could fall through louvered shelves' gaps. This shelf design also contains spills, protecting contents of lower shelves from damage. Air can pass through the louvered shelves' slotted surfaces and circulate around product to create an ideal storage area for perishable goods. Free airflow can minimize moisture and dust buildup. These shelves can be positioned on the four composite posts as desired to accommodate individual storage needs, and they're removable for quick adjustments and cleaning.

The top shelf of the Cambro CBU184884VS5580 starter shelving unit accommodates 400 pounds, while each bottom shelf can hold 600 pounds; no more than 1,800 pounds should be stored on this unit overall. This 48-inch-wide by 18-inch-deep by 84-inch-high structure withstands storage spaces between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit, enabling use in freezers, coolers, pantries, and dishrooms. The polypropylene shelves resists rusting, corroding, peeling, and scratching to preserve their original look and shield stored products from contaminants, and an antimicrobial protection agent is molded perpetually into the shelves to inhibit bacterial growth that could form stains and odors.

To ease and quicken setup, 10 traverses, five bags of eight dovetails, and preassembled post connectors and wedges are included with this shelving unit.
