All four of the Cambro CBA214272S4580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit's shelf plates are solid to accommodate linens, oddly shaped products, and small goods. While the top shelf can hold 400 pounds, each of the three lower shelf plates has a 600-pound capacity. Its total load capacity is 1,800 pounds. These shelf plates can be removed and cleaned in a dishwasher for thorough sanitization, and an antimicrobial protection agent molded into the shelves inhibits microbial and fungal growth between cleanings to protect contents from stains and odors.

Because of its polypropylene construction, the Cambro CBA214272S4580 add-on shelving unit resists rusting, corroding, peeling, and scratching and can be stored between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit. This 42-inch-wide by 21-inch-deep by 72-inch-high unit is intended to be attached to a starter shelving unit in T-, U-, or L-shaped configurations, while the necessary hardware is included to facilitate setup. For versatility, its two composite posts are fitted with leveling feet that balance the unit on irregular surfaces, and its brushed graphite appearance complements the starter unit.
