The Cambro CBA244284VS5580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit has five shelving tiers, and the top shelf accommodates 400 pounds, while each bottom shelf can hold 600 pounds. To reduce the risk of structural damage, the unit is designed to support 1,800 pounds overall. Small, irregularly shaped products can be stored on the solid shelf plate. The vented shelves are best suited to hold small pieces of equipment and heavy bagged and boxed goods. Operators can install the shelves in a configuration that accommodates individual storage needs. To maintain clean surfaces, the louvered shelves feature slotted surfaces to encourage airflow and reduce moisture and dust buildup. The shelves can also be wiped clean and removed for dishmachine cleaning when needed.

Traverses, dovetails, and preassembled post connectors and wedges are included with the Cambro CBA244284VS5580 add-on shelving unit to facilitate installation to a Basics Plus starter shelving unit. The add-on unit can be fastened to the starter unit in L, T, or U shapes to fit crowded dishrooms, pantries, coolers, and freezers. For stability, two composite posts with leveling feet secure one side of the add-on unit in place when installed on sloped or uneven ground. Made of durable, rust-, peel-, corrosion-, and scratch-resistant polypropylene, the add-on is safe to store in temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit.
