The Continental 3RENSS reach-in refrigerator's top-mounted, self-contained refrigeration unit uses R290 refrigerant to achieve cool temperatures as determined by the digital controls input settings. If conditions become too warm or cold, an alarm sounds to notify staff. To reduce humidity within the cabinet, the condensate evaporator functions automatically while the off-cycle defrost prevents water from solidifying.

To ensure durability and for its corrosion-resistance, the Continental 3RENSS three-section refrigerator is constructed of stainless steel. Polyurethane is foamed between the paneling and works with the solid doors to help lock in cool conditions. The interior spans 73 cubic feet, is fitted with nine epoxy-coated shelves, and is illuminated by LED lighting.
