From the Designer line, the Continental D1RFESNSSHD one-section freezer is a combination unit consisting of a top refrigerator section and bottom freezer section. Both segments are fitted with a solid, half-height door that self-closes to reduce recovery time and can be locked to prevent theft. Overall, the cabinet is made of stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance, and to enable air to flow beneath and around the unit, it stands on four 6-inch legs.

To set the desired operating temperatures, users must access the Continental D1RFESNSSHD reach-in combination cabinet's electronic controllers. Each segment is fitted with its own compressor, which is connected to the top-mounted self-contained refrigeration system that utilizes R290 refrigerant. The refrigerator uses an off-cycle defrost that functions intermittently, while the freezer uses an electric defrost that operates automatically. If a drastic shift in temperature occurs, an alarm sounds until addressed.
