For resistance to corrosion, rust, and warping, the Continental D1RSNHD one-section reach-in refrigerator is constructed with stainless steel front panels and aluminum end and interior panels. The unit has two self-closing doors for interior access, which are each equipped with chrome-polished handles, magnetic gaskets, and cylinder locks. The interior is illuminated with LED lighting, fitted with three heavy-duty steel shelves, and measures 22⁷/₈ inches deep by 54³/₄ inches high.

The Continental D1RSNHD refrigerator uses R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant and digital thermostatic controls to produce cold temperatures. Users can monitor these temperatures with the display, and to ensure consistent temperatures, the interior cabinet is insulated with 3-inch polyurethane foam. The self-contained refrigeration system is top mounted to prevent the intake of dust, dirt, and other debris that might negatively affect performance.
