Featuring a pass-thru design, the Continental D1RXNPTHD extra-wide refrigerator can be accessed from either side of the cabinet, making it ideal for center-kitchen use beside preparation stations. The cabinet is fitted with four half-height doors that divide up the cabinet into manageable sections. They self-close to reduce recovery time and can be locked to prevent theft. To help maintain cool conditions, 3 inches of polyurethane is foamed in between the metal paneling.

Mounted atop the Continental D1RXNPTHD reach-in refrigerator is the self-contained refrigeration system, positioned to enable maximum internal space and away from floor debris. Staff can access the electronic controller located above the door to set the desired operating temperature. The system then works to bring the cabinet to set cooling conditions while using R290 refrigerant. The hot-gas evaporator works to prevent condensate development, while the off-cycle defrost system functions intermittently to prohibit ice formation.
