The freezer's refrigeration system is top mounted, self-contained, and uses R-290 hydrocarbon refrigeranta'¬a€a more eco-friendly refrigerant than traditional options.

The Continental D2FSEN freezer's cabinet can be accessed through the stainless steel doors with chrome-polished handles, and the interior is made of aluminum for strength. The doors stay open at 90 degrees for loading, unloading, and cleaning. To reduce temperature loss, this unit has 2-inch polyurethane foam insulation and magnetic door gaskets. Overall, this unit measures 36¹/₄ inches wide by 35³/₈ inches deep by 83¹/₄ inches high.
