For longevity in commercial environments, the freezer's front panels are made of stainless steel, while the end panels and interior are made of durable aluminum. The unit's 2-inch polyurethane foam insulation sits between the metal paneling for added structural integrity and cold air retention.

The Continental D2FSENHD freezer's electric defrost system and automatic condensate evaporator save energy while sustaining interior temperatures. The unit's self-contained refrigeration system and the top and side air distribution ducts support a uniform temperature throughout the cabinet.
