It cools with R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, and the electric condensate evaporator reduces moisture through intense operation. The unit's defrost system thaws ice on components and coils so the refrigerant continues to flow efficiently, and for simple monitoring, the low-temperature alarm audibly alerts users if the unit reaches an unsafe range.

The Continental D2FSNSSGD reach-in has exterior and interior made of stainless steel for a dent-resistant design. It's foamed in with 3-inch-thick polyurethane to maintain temperature-safe conditions, and its two doors feature snap-in magnetic gaskets to create an airtight seal. Cylinder-style locks prevent tampering or theft.
