To maintain set temperatures, the Continental D3RNHD reach-in refrigerator has 3 inches of polyurethane insulation between its metal paneling and is fitted with a high/low temperature alarm that will sound if the cabinet temperature deviates from its setting. This unit measures 78 inches wide by 35³/₈ inches deep by 83¹/₄ inches high and has 72 cubic feet of interior space. This unit has 3 sections and a total of nine epoxy-coated steel shelves that can be adjusted as needed using the pilaster strips.

To provide durability and resistance to corrosion, the Continental D3RNHD reach-in refrigerator has a stainless steel front, and its interior and end panels are constructed of aluminum. To access the interior, operators must use the 6 hinged, half-height, solid steel doors. Each door has a polished chrome handle and is fitted with a cylinder lock to protect shelf items from theft or tampering.
