It utilizes a bottom-mounted refrigeration system to bring the unit to temperature as determined by the electronic controller's input settings. The system uses R290 refrigerant, a safe and efficient hydrocarbon.

Staff can access the Continental MC5NSSSCW milk cooler's interior via the lid and side panel as needed. This interior space spans 24 cubic feet and can accommodate (16) 13-inch by 13-inch by 11-inch crates. The unit is ideal for distributing milk, though other drinks can also be stored for versatile application. For mobility as needed, the unit sits on four swivel caster, two of which lock.
