The 8-inch-long scalloped edge on this Dexter Russell S162-8SCG-PCP Sani-Safe® bread knife is ideal for foods with crusts, rinds, skins, peels, and other tough exteriors. Slicing cleanly through bread, the blade won't crush or flatten the loaf. It also has the ability to cut pineapple, cantaloupe, and watermelon while protecting the soft interior. This knife's blade is constructed of high-carbon steel, while the handle is made of nonslip, textured polypropylene. Because it's green, the handle can be integrated into a color-coded prepping system.
