The Edlund EDV-12C manual meat slicer has a 12-inch carbon steel blade for slicing beef, ham, and turkey. To ensure the blade isn't dulled, the unit has a built-in stone sharpener with dual sides. The slicer is operated with dual handles for a steady grip, and a product pusher rod enables users to position meat without cutting themselves. For added protection, a safety switch turns off the machine when its hand guard is removed.

A tool included with the Edlund EDV-12C manual meat slicer supports users to remove the blade without contacting the sharp edges. If the unit is overloaded, it turns off automatically, and when it's operated, a blue light shines to warn users. For cleaning purposes, the carriage is removable and, when absent, the interlocking thickness gauge doesn't leave the blade exposed. To ensure internal parts aren't exposed to moisture, the housing is sealed and the unit is made of anodized cast aluminum and stainless steel for durability.
