The Federal ESSRC5952 open-air cooler comes with five levels split across two tiers to hold multiple layers of cakes, baked goods, and frozen desserts. It comes with a series of wire shelves that are durable and easy to adjust; they can be removed to accommodate larger products. On the top row is a series of LED lights designed to illuminate products that can be quickly adjusted using its easy-to-access light switch. The entire case is made of corrosion-resistant steel and has a black finish that matches established storefront themes. It also comes with sliding glass doors in the rear to simplify loading and unloading. Measuring 59 inches wide by 34 inches deep by 52 inches high, it provides ample room for a variety of products while still being compact enough to fit into stores with space restrictions.

Designed with an internal self-contained refrigeration unit, the Federal ESSRC5952 tiered cooler can hold products at temperatures between 38 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit despite its open-air design. This is because of its R449A refrigerant system, which is maintained in part with its insulated, rust-resistant evaporator coil. To help keep products at safe temperatures, the unit comes with an easy-to-read thermometer. For storefronts that don't require a fully refrigerated unit, its top section can quickly be converted into a non-refrigerated unit with its baffle system.
