Because the Hatco CWBX-2 drop-in food well doesn't include a condenser, it can be incorporated into multi-well setups in buffets, hotels, or banquet halls. This 32-inch-wide by 27-inch-deep by 17¹/₂₀-inch-tall unit accommodates two full-size food pans and can be dropped in a cutout as large as 31 inches wide by 26 inches deep for a sleek, streamlined appearance. To create a convenient workspace, its electronic control panel ships loose with 9-foot-long probe wires that enable remote installation. This aluminized steel unit resists corrosion, withstands high-volume front- or back-of-house use, and matches other Hatco food wells for a cohesive display. For quick cleanup after use, it features a 1-inch NPT brass drain.

The Hatco CWBX-2 refrigerated food well is built with a cold-wall construction that uses R-513A refrigerant to hold prechilled appetizers, entrees, sides, or desserts at safe temperatures. For uniform chill distribution, it features a uniquely angled interior wall that allows cool air to blanket the pans. Because its sides and base are insulated, it minimizes energy consumption and retains temperatures even in warm ambient environments. As menus rotate, staff can adjust temperature with the electronic control. This panel features an automatic defrost mechanism that can remove icy buildup to preserve product quality and reduce temperature fluctuations.
