Featuring a water-cooled condenser, the Hoshizaki KMD-505MWJ ice maker head is ideal for busy locations with water circulating chiller systems. When incoming water is 50 degrees Fahrenheit and the ambient air is 70 degrees, the unit can produce 592 pounds of ice in a day. As incoming water in water-cooled systems is often cooler than ambient air, ice production is likely to be consistently high.

For proper operation of the Hoshizaki KMD-505MWJ, a separate purchase of a collection bin is required. The unit must be hardwired into the locations electrical system; this unit does not include a plug. The self-diagnostic program works with the EverCheck™ alert system to notify operators of any issues as they arise. Most issues will be automatically addressed, reducing the need for user intervention.
