Depending on ambient air and incoming water temperatures, the Hoshizaki KMD-530MAJ ice machine head can produce 501 pounds of ice each day. It uses less cycles to make the same amount of ice as similar models, and it produces crescent cube ice€”a half-cube option that has a rounded side that fits well in glasses. The ice maker is designed to be paired with an ice and beverage dispenser, but this base unit is sold separately.

This Hoshizaki KMD-530MAJ crescent cube ice maker has an alert system that beeps to notify users when there's an issue in the system; each beep pattern has a different meaning so operators can look up what the diagnosis is. Made with an antimicrobial agent, the ice machine is protected from bacterial growth. The exterior is made of stainless steel, so it resists denting, scratching, and rusting.
