Designed for high-volume operations, the Hoshizaki KMS-1402MLJ Serenity ice maker can produce 1,501 pounds of ice in 24 hours. This amount depends on ambient air and incoming water temperatures, with higher levels resulting is less ice production. It generates crescent cubes, which are a unique style of half-cubed ice that have curved backs to fit in glasses, cool soft drinks, and for bagging. The ice maker is cooled via a remote condenser that's sold separately. Using this condenser style enables operators to relocate heat and noise from the ice maker to a remote area.

This Hoshizaki KMS-1402MLJ ice machine head can craft the same amount of ice as similarly sized units in fewer cycles, resulting in a longer unit lifespan and reduced energy consumption. If there is an issue with the ice maker, it signals the operator with a series of beeps to diagnose the issue. It features built-in antimicrobial protection that impedes bacterial growth, and its stainless steel evaporator and exterior provide durability while expediting cleaning.
