It maintains temperatures between -10 and 10 degrees Fahrenheit to promote food-safe environments and features insulation around the cabinet and doors. When accessing storage split with adjustable shelves, staff members can pull one of the two extruded aluminum handles and open the doors to 90 degrees to utilize the stay-open feature. These doors are also field reversible and self-close once propped at lesser angles. Its stainless steel structure is durable, corrosion resistant, and paired with four 4-inch casters for smooth mobility.

The Hoshizaki UF48B reach-in freezer chest preserves cold temperatures with the help of insulation, a rear-mounted refrigeration system, and an innovative air distribution unit. Its refrigeration system is self-contained to maximize space and features a capillary tubing network that spreads eco-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. This refrigerant and the freezer's evaporator work to lower temperatures. For optimal performance and a long lifespan, this unit's evaporator coil is covered in enamel, while the unit experiences timed defrosts to remove ice buildup.
