The Hoshizaki UF48B-LPD4 48-inch-wide Steelheart® undercounter freezer has a low profile to fit beneath an ADA compliant 34-inch-high work surface. This unit has an overall capacity of 12 cubic feet in two sections with a total of four slide-out drawers that have stainless steel slides with acetal rollers. The bottom drawers will accommodate one half-size pan and one third-size pan. The top drawers will accommodate one half-size, one third-size, one quarter-size, and one sixth-size pans. With an alternate pan orientation, the top drawers will accommodate one full-size pan positioned front-to-back and three ninth-size pans. The top and bottom drawers accommodate 6-inch-deep pans. The drawers have flush-mounted, extruded aluminum handles for a contemporary appearance, durability, and space saving. This unit can be moved using the included 2¹/₄-inch casters. Two of the casters include brakes to prevent unwanted movement.

For a lower environmental impact, the Hoshizaki UF48B-LPD4 undercounter freezer uses R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. The hot gas condensate evaporator conserves energy and the evaporator coil is E-coated for corrosion resistance and to enhance heat transfer efficiency. Its off-cycle defrost system prevents ice from building up on the evaporator coil. Designed to maintain NSF-7 temperatures in ambient temperatures up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, this unit's cabinet and drawers have 2 inches of CFC-free, foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. The drawers have removable, magnetic gaskets for simple cleaning and to promote a solid seal. This unit has stainless steel exterior and interior panels.
