From the Steelheart series, the Hoshizaki ULF60B undercounter freezer features a durable stainless steel construction. Between the metal paneling is 2 inches of polyurethane foam insulation. Its interior spans 17.22 cubic feet and is fitted with four epoxy-coated shelves, each capable of holding a full-sized pan. These are adjustable in ¹/₂-inch increments among the aluminum pilaster strips.

Mounted at the side of the Hoshizaki ULF60B reach-in freezer base is its self-contained refrigeration system that's accessible via a removable panel for ease of access. To set the desired holding temperature, staff must use the electronic controller that's mounted above the condenser's grill. The system is equipped with a hot gas condensate evaporator, which uses an E-coated evaporator coil. To prevent damage to these components, a defrost system functions on a time-initiated cycle.
