The Hoshizaki WF48B-01 worktop freezer measures 48 inches in width by 31 inches in depth by 40 inches in height. It's constructed of durable stainless steel to facilitate a long service life, and the unit is fitted with four casters that enable smooth maneuvering around the kitchen. Two of the casters lock to ensure the unit remains stable during ingredient prep on the worktop. The two-section design offers 13.66 cubic feet of storage space.

The cabinets are stainless steel and feature solid doors with recessed aluminum handles for easy access. The edge of the doors are uniquely designed to be stepped to protect the door gaskets from damage; these gaskets can be removed for cleaning so mold and bacteria don't build up over time. Inside each cabinet is a shelf that can be adjusted in ¹/₂-inch increments to accommodate changing storage needs. The worktop is smooth and flat with a backsplash to prevent messes, and the full unit is insulated with polyurethane foam to help maximize energy usage.

The refrigeration system in the Hoshizaki WF48B-01 commercial worktop freezer keeps the cabinets at a set temperature between -10 and 10 degrees Fahrenheit. It achieves this by using an environmentally safe R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant that's also energy efficient. The refrigeration system is self-contained and rear mounted, featuring a non-electric evaporator that is regularly defrosted to prevent ice buildup.
