The front of the body has a 1-inch bumper to mitigate damage from shopping carts. The rear wall is completely perforated for even air distribution among products. It comes with a night cover to minimize energy loss afterhours. This unit requires a drain for operation.

The Howard-McCray SC-OS35E-5-S Impulse open-air cooler's self-contained refrigeration system holds temperatures between 36 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit, which can be adjusted via the electronic controller. For equal air distribution, this open-air cooler has low-speed fans recessed inside the deck. The air defrost prevents ice development on integral part and helps maintain holding temperature.
