The Howard-McCray SC-OD30E-5-SL-S vertical open-air cooler has a stainless steel exterior and interior with a heavy-gauge steel super structure for durability and resistance to corrosion over time. It measures 63 inches wide by 30¹/₂ inches deep by 72 inches high. It has three shelves and four levels for storage. The shelves are lighted for visibility and feature tag molding along the edges.

The Howard-McCray SC-OD30E-5-SL-S vertical open-air cooler has a removable front grill for maintenance as needed. The removable ends enable continuous set up and use in busy locations. The refrigeration system is self-contained and electronically controlled providing users with precise temperature control. Staff can stock the interior using the back sliding doors.
