The single door self-closes to reduce temperature loss and can be propped open at 95 degrees to facilitate cabinet loading. Cold air is retained by the snap-in door gasket, and to save energy, the cabinet is insulated with polyurethane. This unit maintains a temperature of 0 degrees Fahrenheit, which can be adjusted using the digital controls.

The Infrico IUC-MR41BT undercounter freezer's refrigeration system is mounted on its side for access if maintenance is needed, and it's self-contained to reduce the risk of cross contamination. It cools with R290 refrigerant€”an environmentally friendly hydrocarbon. The cabinet's two shelves are plastic coated for protection and made of wire to enable uniform airflow, and to prevent theft and tampering at the end of the night, the door can be locked.
