To accommodate small pieces of equipment, bulk inventory, and boxed or bagged products, each of the five shelves in the Metro 5A467K3 Super Adjustable™ Super Erecta™ starter unit can support 600 pounds, while the entire unit can hold 2,000 pounds. Because it's coated with corrosion-resistant Metroseal 3™ green epoxy, this unit is safe to store in corrosive, humid, wet, or steamy environments. The shelves and posts are treated with Microban™ antimicrobial protection that hinders fungal and bacterial growth between regular cleanings. To minimize dust buildup, prevent liquid from pooling, and promote even airflow, the shelves feature open-wire constructions.

Although the Metro 5A467K3 starter shelving system ships unassembled, its corner release system and SiteSelect™ posts simplify setup; the shelves can be positioned on the posts' 1-inch-apart circular grooves, and the corner release system can be used to raise or lower the shelves without tools. To fit in kitchens, pantries, and closets, this unit measures 59⁷/₈ inches wide by 21¹/₈ inches deep by 74 inches tall overall.
