The Metro 5Q437G3 MetroMax? Q starter shelving kit is comprised of five epoxy-coated steel shelves, removable louvered polypropylene shelf mats, polymer posts, and one-piece reinforced nylon wedges. For tool-free setup, staff can attach the wedges to grooves in the post, and the wedges' windows align with the posts' numbers to indicate where shelves can be placed. Because the shelves ship ready for use, they can simply be placed atop the attached wedges. As inventory is rotated, the shelves can be raised or lowered in 1-inch increments with the corner-release mechanism. Fully assembled, this shelving unit measures 35¹³?₁₆ inches wide by 21³?₈ inches deep by 74 inches tall. The posts' reinforced nylon feet can be adjusted for stability on sloped or bumpy surfaces.

While each shelf in the Metro 5Q437G3 starter shelving unit accommodates 800 pounds, the unit as a whole can support a maximum of 2,000 pounds of cleaning supplies, bagged goods, boxed ingredients, and other bulk inventory. Louvered polypropylene shelf mats can be placed atop the shelves to enhance air circulation and promote light penetration. As they become dirty, the mats can be washed in a sink, dishwasher, or washing machine. To preserve product quality, the mats and posts are treated with Microban? antimicrobial protection, inhibiting bacterial and fungal growth between regular cleaning.
