The Metro C589-SFS-UPFS insulated mobile heated cabinet is constructed of durable, 304 series stainless steel that resists rust, corrosion, and minor dents. Its entire interior perimeter and solid doors are insulated with high-density fiberglass, which helps the cabinet retain heat and improve energy efficiency. This cabinet's ducted heating system improves air circulation to prevent cold spots while preserving food quality by not blowing heated air directly onto product. This cabinet sits on 5-inch casters that provide smooth mobility between locations in a kitchen or through a banquet hall.

Top-mounted controls on the Metro C589-SFS-UPFS pass-thru mobile heated cabinet enable operators to select a holding temperature between 70 and 200 degrees Fahrenheit and select a lower threshold the cabinet shouldn't fall below. If the cabinet interior remains below the low-temperature limit for more than five minutes, an alarm notifies staff so they can attend to the food. The control panel also includes a memory recall function that saves the most recent temperature settings for expedient selection.
