For thorough temperature control, operators can use the solid-state digital controls to manipulate the Metro C5T9-DSB heated cabinet cavity temperatures. These top-mounted controls include a digital temperature readout, recall and memory button, low- and high-temperature alarms, diagnostic troubleshooting, and mobile power, which enables the control panel to operate when the unit is unplugged. This unit's maximum holding temperature is 200 degrees Fahrenheit to accommodate a range of warming settings, and its ducted convection heating system circulates temperatures evenly. To minimize temperature changes, the sides, top, base, and rear wall are insulated with foamed-in-place polyurethane.

When the unit is moved, the Metro C5T9-DSB heated cabinet's polymer handles are steel-reinforced to protect against impact damage, and the polymer side panels shield the exterior from panic bars and door handles that can create unsightly scuffs and scrapes. This unit is made of durable, type 304 stainless steel—a strong metal that resists rust and corrosion to endure long-term use—and it features a full-length door that grants direct access to the cavity for pan retrieval and loading.
