The low-wattage design of these elements doesn't require as much power to operate as standard-watt options, so they use less energy overall. As the shelf's application evolves, users can adjust the thermostatic control as high as 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and to simplify operation, its power switch can quickly be turned on and off.

Because the Metro HS1430 heated shelf includes four 3-inch polymer feet and four split sleeves, it can be used on countertops or attached to Super Erecta SiteSelect? posts in a multi-shelf configuration.
