The Metro MAX4-1848G MetroMax? 4 Series polymer shelf can carry an evenly distributed 800 pounds and measures 47¹⁵/₁₆ inches long. This shelf keeps packaged products and other food items secure since its four wedge connectors attach directly to a platform's poles. The rust-resistant shelf can endure moist environments and chemicals, while its removable, 6-inch mats are perforated to help increase airflow. The mats also secure shelved products with their ³/₁₆-inch edges near their outside ends, and they're dishwasher safe to ensure proper sanitation.

To avert the growth of mold, fungus, and bacteria, the Metro MAX4-1848G shelf and mat have built-in Microban? antimicrobial protection. This design maintains a clean environment between shelf and mat cleaning periods. It can support use in a temperature range from -20 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit; however, during cleaning, it can handle a short-term maximum temperature of 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The shelf can also work alongside the MetroMax i and MetroMax Q shelves as they are part of the MetroMax platform.
