Users can load food items and restaurant equipment on the shelf for safe storage. The corrosion-resistant polymer construction enables the shelf to endure moisture without extensive damage to the shelf, which lengthens its lifetime. It also contains built-in Microban? antimicrobial protection that prevents bacterial growth so stored items can stay sanitary. Because it can handle temperatures between -20 and 120 degrees Fahrenheit, the shelf can be used in various locations.

The Metro MAX4-2436G shelf has a durable attachment mechanism to the platform's poles, which are sold separately; its four wedge connectors snap into the poles and can be readjusted over time to accommodate different stocked items. Once fastened to the platform, the shelf's removable polypropylene mats can be slid in to help secure items. Their open-grid design boosts airflow to prevent moisture buildup and keep products cool, if necessary, while their edges prevent sliding when the platform is mobile. The mats have a flat surface that enables quick cleaning, either by hand or in the commercial dishwasher.
