Ideal for transporting covered plates between a kitchen and serving area, the Metro MBQ-180D heated banquet cabinet measures 67¹/₄ inches wide by 33³/₈ inches deep by 69¹/₂ inches high and is mounted on 6-inch heavy-duty polyurethane casters. Operators can steer this unit with its ergonomic three-point-control handle, which enables pushing or pulling from the front or sides. The cabinet's base is encased in a nonmarking vinyl bumper to lessen impact if it collides with a wall or piece of furniture, and its stainless steel exterior is rigid enough to endure wear from high-volume use. Two side doors provide direct access to the three 59-inch-wide by 24-inch-deep shelves, and the doors' hands-free kick-latch mechanisms simplify loading when users' hands are full. Together, the shelves support (180) 11³/₄-inch-diameter plates, with each shelf able to hold 10 stacks of five plates.

To keep covered dishes warm for serving, a bottom-mounted heat module warms the Metro MBQ-180D mobile heated banquet cabinet, and a high-temperature ball-bearing blower motor disperses heat evenly. Operators can adjust temperatures with the dial thermostat, and the analog thermometer includes a remote, protected sensing bulb for accuracy. When the unit is stored in cool environments or unplugged for transport, 1-inch-thick high-density full fiberglass insulation minimizes heat loss. The control panel also includes a multifunction count-up and count-down timer for precise time management. To minimize confusion during holding and serving, users can identify stored contents on the included whiteboard.
