The Metro MF-183674G-S-4 polymer louvered shelf kit is a starter unit capable of supporting add-on units (sold separately) to create a more expansive shelving system. It's made of plastic and ships knocked down. It comes with four shelves, four posts, and four wedge connectors for every shelf; assembly is simple and doesn't require tools. Ideal for walk-in cooler and freezer storage, the plastic construction resists rusting.

The plastic material is combined with antimicrobial Microban technology, which helps prevent the growth and spread of bacteria and mold. Each individual shelf has an 800-pound capacity, while the unit as a whole has a 2,000-pound capacity. The open-grid shelves have removeable shelf mats that can be safely cleaned in a dishmachine for simple and streamlined maintenance, and because of its open-grid design, cold air can circulate on all sides of the food stored on each shelf. Overall, the starter unit measures 35¹⁵/₁₆ inches wide by 18¹/₂ inches deep by 74³/₁₆ inches tall.
