Designed to support as much as 2,000 pounds at one time, the Metro MF-244874G-S-4 louvred shelving unit is made up of four posts that support four shelves; each individual shelf can hold 800 pounds at once. The whole unit is constructed of a durable polymer that is highly resistant to rust and corrosion. Additionally, draining holes in the unit's shelves keep water from pooling, which could cause damage. To connect the shelves securely to each posts, the unit comes with four brackets per shelf.

Overall, it measures 47¹⁵/₁₆ inches wide by 24¹/₂ inches deep by 74³/₁₆ inches high, and the entirety of the Metro MF-233874G-S-4 polymer shelf kit can be cleaned by hand using a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Furthermore, operators can disassemble the unit for cleaning, as all of its shelves can be broken down and cleaned in a dishmachine. Between regularly scheduled cleanings, its polymer construction is made with Microban antimicrobial protection to reduce mold, mildew, and bacterial growth.
