The Metro PR-187274K3-S-4 epoxy-coated wire shelf kit is a four-tiered starter unit that can stand alone or accommodate Metro add-on units for versatile and expanded storage. It ships knocked down and must be assembled in the field—a simple, tool-free process. The plastic construction is supported by epoxy-coated steel frames, and when assembled, the shelving unit is 71⁷/₈ inches wide by 18¹/₈ inches deep by 74³/₄ inches tall.

The shelves on this Metro PR-187274K3-S-4 shelving unit feature a protective antimicrobial technology called Microban?, which helps stop the growth and spread of mold and bacteria across the surface of the shelves. The shelf mats can be removed and cleaned in a commercial dishwasher for a streamlined cleaning process. The shelves are rust and corrosion resistant, meaning they can be used in walk-in freezers without compromising its service life. The open-grid shelf design allows cold air to circulate around the shelves' contents; each individual shelf can hold 600 pounds while the entire unit can hold 2,000 pounds.
