For flexible placement in different storage areas, the Metro PR-217263K3-S-4 wire shelf kit features an epoxy coating across its posts and shelf frames, allowing placement in humid environments while minimizing corrosion. It measures 71³/₄ inches wide by 21¹/₄ inches deep by 61¹³/₁₆ inches high, and operators can pull products off from every side. The unit rests on a series of leveling legs to ensure they stand stably on uneven floors. While its metal posts and shelf frames are coated in epoxy, its shelf mats are made of polymer.

The Metro PR-217263K3-S-4 shelving unit is designed with utility in mind; each post is marked every 8 inches to ease the installation process of shelves. The shelves can hold 600 pounds, and the entire unit should not exceed 2,000 pounds to maintain structural integrity. Because of the unit's Microban? antimicrobial protection, it inhibits bacteria, while its shelf mats can be cleaned in a dishwasher. Additionally, the shelf mats come with draining holes to stop liquids from pooling.
