To facilitate maintenance, the Scotsman FS1222L-1 flake ice machine head has one-touch cleaning capabilities, and it's protected with AgION® antimicrobial to slow the growth of germs and bacteria. The bearings are sealed to protect them from damage, and they require no maintenance for operation. Using R404A refrigerant, this unit makes anywhere from 1,000 to 1,180 pounds of ice per day depending on operating conditions.

The refrigeration system in the Scotsman FS1222L-1 ice maker is remote-cooled and self-contained. To reduce noise and heat, it has a remote low-side configuration. It also comes with a QR code that is specific to the unit, which can be scanned to reveal warranty information and service manuals. It has a rust-resistant stainless steel finish, and the evaporator and auger are also made of durable stainless steel.
