If ambient air is 70 degrees Fahrenheit and incoming water is 50 degrees Fahrenheit, the Scotsman FS1222R-3 Prodigy Plus® ice machine head can craft 1,250 pounds of flake ice. Such ice is soft and great for securing product in place—ideal for displaying produce or seafood in convenience stores. Because this unit is remote cooled, it's quieter than self-contained units and doesn't generate as much heat; to reduce operational lag, its evaporator and auger are low maintenance and stainless steel.

Operators can decipher the unit's status via the Scotsman FS1222R-3 ice maker head's AutoAlert® indicating lights. To maintain sanitation, AgION® antimicrobial agent is built into the key internal components, inhibiting the growth of bacteria between standard cleanings. It also features a one-touch cleaning system that cleans the unit automatically to reduce hands-on tasks. This machine's durable stainless steel construction withstands heavy use and resists corrosion and rust. It measures 22 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 27 inches high to fit atop an ice storage bin (sold separately).
