The Southbend HDG-24-M griddle requires 12-inch clearances on the sides and an 8-inch clearance on the rear from combustible surfaces. To keep other surfaces clean, grease and food debris are contained to the griddle plate by the side and rear splashes, while a removable grease drawer collects liquids and debris. Constructed of aluminized and stainless steel, the unit is durable and corrosion resistant.
Heated by natural gas, this Southbend HDG-24-M griddle must be installed under a vent hood. Its manual controls have temperature settings ranging from low to high, enabling the operator to know what setting is appropriate for each dish. Heat is evenly distributed across the plate because burners are spaced every 12 inches, and the sides are double insulated to retain heat.
