The Southbend HDG-48 gas griddle is 48 inches wide and has one 30,000-BTU burner every 12 inches. Because these burners are thermostatically controlled, the heat level is automatically regulated when the user turns the control knobs. Without producing hot or cold spots, the temperature is adjustable between 200 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Measuring 1 inch thick, the griddle plate will not warp at high temperatures or lose heat quickly. Splashguards are integrated into the unit at the sides and rear, catching food particles and debris to prevent surrounding surfaces from getting dirty.
