Star 6048CBF 48" Gas Charbroiler w/ Cast Iron Grates, Natural Gas
Every 12-inch cooking section of the Star 6048CBF Star-Max? gas charbroiler includes a 40,000-BTU burner to heat its lava rocks, which transfer heat through the cast iron grates; these cooking areas have correlating heat adjustment knobs. To prevent accidental temperature adjustment during cooking, a cool-to-the-touch stainless steel bull-nose edge is built above the knobs. Each 6-inch grate section can be adjusted individually to a flat or inclined position, and the grates have a thin side for searing and a thick side for delicate ingredients. To achieve various results, the grates can be reversed as needed.
Though the Star 6048CBF gas charbroiler ships ready for natural gas, it is versatile, including a field-conversion kit for LP gas. This countertop model measures 48 inches wide by 281/10 inches deep by 152/5 inches high. Its welded steel frame includes a stainless steel top and front, which resist rust and corrosion, while the aluminized steel sides are simple to wipe clean. To prevent grease from splattering on walls and the countertop, a tapered stainless steel splash guard lines the back of the unit. Grease moves from the grease trough and into the large-capacity water pan as product cooks to ease cleaning tasks.
