Because the heating elements rest between the outer and inner wall, they are close to the rice and can heat it quickly. To reduce heat loss, the insulated walls and cover trap hot air. Sensors ensure the temperature does not get too hot, preventing rice from burning. Once the rice has absorbed the water, the cook cycle ends so that the rice does not get too soft. This Town 57130 rice cooker holds cooked rice at 150 degrees Fahrenheit until it is turned off. Built for repeated use, this unit is constructed of stainless steel, which is resistant to corrosion, dents, scratches, and stains. The removable pot is easy to clean, and the drip collector in the cover catches condensate before it falls to the counter.
