Town 55 Cup Electric Rice Cooker/Steamer, One Touch, 230v/1ph (57155)
Designed with a small footprint, this Town 57155 electric rice cooker can cook and serve rice in one vessel, and it can cook different kinds of rice, such as steamed rice, jambalaya, rice pilaf, and more. The elements in the insulated, double-wall body warm rice more evenly than bottom-based rice cookers. This unit's heated cover reduces heat loss, while its thick heater plate, reinforced body, and water-resistant controller extend the rice cooker's life. Because of its high-limit controls, damage to the heating element is prevented, as well as failure due to dings and dents.
When turned on, the Town 57155 rice cooker starts in hold mode, and both its power and hold indicator lights illuminate. Pressing the cook button starts the cook cycle, and the electronic sensor detects when water has been absorbed, ending the cook cycle. When the rice is cooked, the cook light turns off, and the hold light will illuminate again, indicating rice doneness. The cooker will hold rice at serving temperatures until it is turned off or another cook cycle begins, and pressing the power button at any time turns the unit off.
